Kumho Solus KR21 Review

There are some tires that are sexy to buy and some that are not, and the Kumho Solus KR21 falls in the latter category. But just because you don’t get all excited about buying this tire, it certainly doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great value or a well-received one. The reviews across the board for this tire all state that it lives up to its claims and is one of the best high-mileage tires on the market today.

With specially designed channels to prevent hydroplaning, this tire is as good in the rain as it is on a dry road, and its three-rib design makes sure that there is always a maximum surface in contact with the road. This also helps to make sure that the tire wears uniformly, adding to its already long life.

When it comes to noise-control and comfort, you just won’t find a quieter or smoother ride than the Kumho Solus KR21, especially at this price. This is one of the more affordable tires that is suitable for all vans, wagons and sedans in all-weather conditions, so you might think that it wouldn’t deliver comfort, but it does. What is even better is that this tire will outlast almost any other tire you have had on your car because of the way it has been designed.

Kumho has long been known for producing some of the finest quality, original equipment for Chevrolet, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen and other brands of vehicles. This Korean company has been operating since 1977 and is one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world. Most recently, it opened an American factory in Georgia. This is indeed one of the more highly respected tire manufacturers, producing over two million tires every year.

When you own a van, a sedan or some other type of family car that doesn’t require high-speed or high-performance tires, it is good to know that there is an affordable option for you that still delivers on quality. The Kumho Solus KR21 is certainly that tire and one that virtually all reviewers find is as good driving around suburban streets in the summer as on the highway in the winter.

Even though you are not paying a lot, you are not sacrificing quality, safety or long mileage, and you should find that this tire, along with the rest of the Kumho line, is as energy efficient and smooth on the road as any other tire you could buy. Especially when you are putting in a lot of city or short-trip miles, this is a great tire to have beneath you.

If you are looking for an affordable, high-mileage tire for your minivan, wagon or family sedan, then you should look no further than the Kumho Solus KR21 . This tire will give you not only the miles that you are looking for, but also safe, noise-free driving in all weather conditions. This tire is a work-horse and will provide you with years’ worth of great rides.

  1. The text book answer is to look on the placard of the door sill of your vehicle for the recommend tire pressure settings. If said placard is not there, I’d set them to 35psi.
